05 · Tuition · 2025–26 season

How tuition works.

Tuition is based on your dancer’s total class minutes per week — the more minutes, the lower the per-minute rate. The season is 38 weeks, billed as ten equal monthly installments. Below: the rate structure, payment schedule, separate fees (registration, costumes), and the make-up and late-fee policies.

Every dancer’s tuition is calculated on one simple thing: how many class minutes they take each week. More minutes, better rate. Here are the bookends — for the exact bracket matching your dancer’s selections, see the full chart.

Rates shown are monthly. Tuition scales in tiers between these anchors based on your dancer’s exact weekly minutes. We’ll quote the precise number in writing at registration — or email us for a custom quote.

A one-time registration fee is due with your first month’s tuition on August 15. Siblings get a reduced rate, and the family cap means no household ever pays more than $65 in registration — no matter how many dancers.

Sibling registration

Second and third dancers from the same household register at $15 each instead of $35. Full family cap of $65 keeps the total predictable.

02

Multi-minute pricing

Because tuition is calculated on weekly minutes rather than class count, stacking styles — ballet + jazz + tap, for example — gets cheaper per minute at every tier.

Transfer-student credit

New to Caffery’s but not to dance? We honor 5th, 10th, and 15th-year awards earned at other schools. Bring your previous studio’s confirmation and we’ll fold it into your dancer’s recital recognition.

Your balance posts to the Parent Portal on the 1st of each month and is due the 15th. Electronic payment only — auto-pay through the portal is available (and encouraged). There’s a 10-day grace period; a $20 late fee (non-refundable) is added on the 25th if the balance is still open. June is free — the season is already paid.

Monthly tuition covers class time only. Costumes, competition, and attire are billed separately — and we spread costume costs across three months so nothing lands all at once.

Costume installment 1
November
Required for June dance recital and gymnastics show. Amount varies by the number of pieces your dancer performs.
Costume installment 2
January
Second of three billings. Reminder goes out through the Parent Portal.
Costume installment 3
March
Final installment. Not charged if your dancer isn’t in the June show — tell us by January.
Competition fees
Company only
Competitive team members only. Entry fees per event are billed ahead of each competition.
Shoes & attire
At cost
We stock required shoes and leotards at the front desk at studio cost — buy them from us or bring your own. See the attire list →
Recital tickets
Spring
June recital tickets go on sale in the spring. Dancers perform free; family seats are priced per venue.
Make-up classes
Up to 3 make-up classes per dancer per season. Request by written email to info@cafferys.net; we’ll place you in the closest same-level class within 30 days, space permitting.
Missed classes
There are no pro-rated fees for classes missed due to illness, vacation, or holiday breaks — that’s why make-ups exist. There are no refunds for classes missed.
Late payments
10-day grace period from the 15th. A $20 late fee (non-refundable) is added on the 25th if the balance is still open.
Withdrawal
No long-term contract — commitment is 4 weeks minimum. Withdrawals must be submitted in writing (email is fine); phone messages aren’t accepted. Tuition stops billing the month after written notice is received.
Snow days & closures
We close when driving conditions are unsafe or when Middletown schools dismiss early. Evening classes starting after 3:30pm may still run — check the Parent Portal or our socials before heading out.
Recital participation
The June recital is the season’s finale, but participation is not mandatory. Let us know by January if your dancer is opting out and we’ll skip the costume fee.
Transfer students
Joining mid-season? Tuition is pro-rated to your start date. We also honor 5th, 10th, and 15th-year awards from other schools — bring your previous studio’s confirmation.
