01 · Lobby & drop-off

The lobby, drop-off, and pickup.

Parents and siblings are welcome in the lobby during class hours — please keep voices low; the studio walls aren’t soundproof. For dancers under age 8, walk your dancer to the studio door; ages 8+ can be dropped at the lobby.

  • Be on time — warmups happen in the first 5 minutes and they matter
  • Outside food & strollers OK in the lobby (along the wall, please)
  • If a non-parent is picking up, email or text the front desk
  • Late pickup over 10 minutes incurs a small fee after the 3rd occurrence
02 · Missed classes & make-ups

If you miss a class.

Missed classes aren’t pro-rated — tuition is for your seat in the season. Use a make-up instead: up to 3 per dancer per season, by email request, in any same-level class. Snow-day closures don’t count against the 3.

  • Email info@cafferys.net with the class you want to make up
  • Make-ups can’t be carried into the next season
  • Extended absences (illness, travel): email and we’ll work it out
03 · Snow & closures

Weather and unexpected closures.

If the studio closes for weather, we post the notice by 1pm in the parent portal and on social media. Caffery’s closures don’t always follow the school district. Weather-closure classes can be made up at no cost — outside the regular 3-make-up cap.

04 · Refunds & tuition basics

Refunds and how tuition works.

Annual tuition is split into 10 monthly payments, due on the 15th. First month at registration. June & July have no charge. $20 late fee after the 25th. Tuition is non-refundable once the season starts; pre-season cancellations get a full refund. Registration fee is non-refundable. Full tuition page →

  • Costume & competition fees are non-refundable once ordered
  • Tuition isn’t pro-rated for missed classes — use a make-up
05 · Drops, transfers & mid-season

Switching classes, dropping, or joining mid-season.

Switch between classes any time, space permitting. To drop a class after the season starts, give us 30 days’ written notice by email. Joining mid-season? Tuition is pro-rated to your start date and the registration fee is reduced.

  • Transfer students: bring your last studio’s level placement
  • First class is still free for transfers
  • Costume fees still apply if joining the recital
06 · Recital participation

The June recital.

The June recital is the season finale and most dancers participate, but it’s not mandatory. Tell us by January if your dancer would prefer to skip and we’ll skip the costume fee for that piece.

  • Tech rehearsal is the week prior · attendance required for performers
  • Costume fees billed in early winter, separately from tuition
  • Tickets go on sale in May · family pre-sale one day earlier
07 · Code of conduct & photos

How we treat each other — and how we use photos.

Caffery’s is a kind studio. Dancers, families, and staff treat each other with respect — in the studio, the lobby, online, and at competitions. Studio-taken photos may appear on our social channels and website by default; you can opt out any time at registration or by email.

  • No phone use in the studio during class
  • Photos & video of other dancers only with parent consent
  • Bullying or unkindness is addressed directly — parents involved
  • Constructive parent feedback always welcome by email
Got a policy question?

Email or call — we answer.

If something on this page is unclear, or you have a situation we haven’t covered, the studio will figure it out with you. We’d rather make a sensible exception than enforce a rule that doesn’t fit.
